A print run arrives at Mitcham on a Tuesday and is gone by Thursday. Prime members are allocated their copies before the shelf opens — and in a month when nothing new comes in, we send a book you have told us you do not already own, in the language you read at home.

What Prime gets you

Tell us what you already own

This is the part that makes the monthly book worth having. When you join, tick off the titles already on your shelf and pick the language you read in — Urdu, English, Bengali, whatever it is. We hold that list against your subscription and never send you something twice. You can add to it at any point from your account, and if we still get it wrong, send it back and we will swap it and pay the postage both ways.

Terms and conditions

1. What the subscription is

Ishaat Prime is a rolling monthly subscription supplied by the Ishaat department of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK. It renews on the same day each month until you cancel it.

2. Priority on new stock

Prime members are allocated copies of newly arrived titles before general sale, and Prime pre-orders on back-ordered titles are filled ahead of non-member pre-orders. Priority is by the date your subscription started. Priority is not a guarantee: where a print run is smaller than the number of members who want it, allocation is in subscription order and the remainder is carried to the next run.

3. The monthly book

In a month when no new title has arrived, we dispatch one book from the catalogue chosen from the titles you have not marked as owned, in your stated language where a copy exists in that language, and otherwise in English. You may return any monthly book within 30 days for a replacement; we pay postage both ways.

4. Delivery

Standard UK delivery is free on all orders for the life of the subscription. The monthly book is dispatched on the first working day of the month.

5. Cancelling

Cancel at any time from your account, with no notice period. Your subscription runs to the end of the month already paid for and is not renewed. Books already dispatched are yours. We do not part-refund a month in progress.

6. Price changes

We will give 30 days' notice by email before any change to the monthly price. You may cancel within that period at the old price.

7. Charitable status

Ishaat operates on a not-for-profit basis. Any surplus from Prime goes towards the printing and free distribution of literature.
